Institutional Strengthening
As part of organizational change, and to be able to effectively deliver its mandate, IDIWA develops effective change management processes, and ensure effective use of resources to increase efficiency and productivity, analyze processes in more proficient ways, and solve problems within the organization. IDIWA has strong internal systems and partnerships for sustainability, including governance policies; risk management, anti-fraud, anti-money laundering, safety and protection, reasonable accommodation, and travel policies.
IDIWA has achieved important milestones in terms of capacitating young feminists and specific women with disabilities and their formations to advocate their rights; they include Girl Power Community Uganda- GPCU, Girls and Young Women with Disabilities Environmental Defenders’ Network, and Women with Albinism Associations -WAA.
