IDIWA prioritizes access to disability friendly sexual and reproductive health services for women and girls with disabilities through advocacy for accessibility improvement to infrastructure, labour wards, and information, education and communication to encourage informed decision making to address the challenge of abuse of sexual and reproductive health rights of women and girls with disabilities that continue to be contested and remain majorly un prioritized in the current health system. IDIWA continues to advocate for and with women and girls with disabilities to promote disability friendly services and disability mainstreaming at local, national and international levels and also raise awareness to change behaviors that stigmatize persons with disabilities.
Gender and Human Rights Advocacy (GHRA)
IDIWA ensures that women and girls with disabilities exercise their human right to live free from all forms of violence, through promotion of positive behaviors, practices and attitudes, and strengthening mechanisms for prevention, protection, and accountability to end Violence Against Women and Girls with Disabilities and improving access to essential, specialist, safe and adequate multi-sectoral services. IDIWA promotes access to services offered by government and other development agencies as well as participation in decision making processes. I DIWA empowers women and girls with disabilities to participate in governance processes, and advocate for their rightful inclusion in government planning and service delivery. IDIWA supports capacity building for emerging Organizations of Persons with Disabilities -OPDs, grassroots women’s rights organizations -WROs to collectively advance progress on ending violence against women and girls with disabilities.

PurposeThe position reports to the Planning Monitoring and Evaluation Manager, and assists in the implementation of M&E activities for Integrated Disabled Women Activities-IDIWA programmes, both at health facility and community, and is based at the IDIWA offices, Iganga Municipal council.Key areas of responsibility M&E Systems implementationi. Supports the Programme and Monitoring & Evaluation Manager to implement IDIWA’sMonitoring & Evaluation (M&E plan) at site and community level; ii. Assist with the provision of both on site & community support supervision to community resource persons, project officers on appropriate use of M&E tools for accurate data collection at site and Community level;iii. Support data entry including assisting with periodic data quality checks; iv.
